The project aims to address the urban heat island effect and air pollution. The final form is an outdoor installation. The device's name is Eco Ark. Eco means nature and environment, and Ark means refuge in the Bible. The materials of the ecological ark are mainly composed of spray devices, climbing plants and bamboo structures. The spray device has a cooling effect. Climbing plants absorb carbon dioxide and produce oxygen through photosynthesis to purify the air, and the leaves of the plants can resist direct sunlight and form shade to reduce the temperature. As the skeleton of the ecological ark, the bamboo structure plays a supporting role. The ecological ark is divided into two functional areas: standing area and rest area. Both areas can be used in the morning and evening. The Eco Ark is placed on grass and can withstand the heat of direct sunlight. The street lights around the Eco Ark can provide indirect light sources. Overall, the Eco-Ark not only purifies the air, but also lowers the temperature, creating a new microclimate.
